A seminar on modern Palestinian history was held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. at the Hokkaido University Academic Exchange Hall (Conference Room 1) by the Hokkaido University Islāmic Culture Club and the Hokkaido University Islāmic Culture Study Group.

The keynote speaker, Professor Hidemitsu Kuroki, presented on the historical background of the 2023 military conflict in Gaza and on the theme of modern and contemporary nation-states and civilizations. Invited speaker, Dr. Yoshio Nekozuka, presented on the situation in Palestine where military clashes have occurred.

The seminar was a great success, and many participants were eager to ask questions about the modern history of Palestine. We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event a success. We hope to see you again at other events.
